First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who visits and reads this. Secondly, I'd like to confirm your suspicions that I'm probably crazy for trying to watch a new movie everyday for a whole year. In fact it's my New Year's Resolution. I came up with this idea inspired by a friend who has had a similar goal in the past, and was encouraged by my partner in crime here on the site.
My personal goal with this site is primarily to give me a sense of accountability and to keep up with my goal. If I believe I have friends and viewers coming to this site expecting to see my thoughts on a new movie everyday, then I think I'll be more likely to keep up with it, and less likely to simply shrug off my New Year's Resolution out of pure laziness. It will also give me a good place to keep track of what I've watched and somewhere to layout my thoughts.
I'd like to clearly state that our goal with this site is not necessarily to review movies. Of course we'll share our thoughts on the film after watching it, if we liked it or were bored or what have you. But we won't be giving out grades or numbers out of 10 or anything like that. We do have some ideas for themed days, like purposely watching a bad movie, or forcing each other to watch a movie of our choice, be it good or bad. I'm sure we both already have some ideas for that one. We'll also take suggestions or recommendations via the site's email or twitter accounts from you.
So to wrap this up I'd like to say that I hope you continue to visit the site once we start our daily quest. There won't be a ton of activity, probably only 1 or 2 posts a day as we watch our movies. Everything will kick off in full swing starting January 1, 2011. Feel free to follow us on twitter @2guys1movie or email us movie suggestions or feedback at 2guys1movieaday@gmail.com
Thanks again for checking us out!
Looking good! Good luck on your one film a day goal. :)
ReplyDeleteI suggested these to you on Twitter already, but I will throw my couple of movie suggestions on here too. Watch Hot Rod and Big Trouble.
